Mind Between the Lines became Denis' debut feature film project. It was written and shot by Denis in the period of two years, and included 25 shooting days in the multiple locations and cities of Europe.

The central dramatic conflict of the story evolves between the author and his character, with the story unfolding in an unnamed Western European country of the 19th century. An old count, Walter Gold, tells his grandson a story of his life. Over 60 years ago, while on a horse walk, Young Walter meets a creature that would change his life forever since. Since then, Walter's life turned into a struggle for the freedom of his mind.
