The Water Is Completely Gone is an environmental short film, directed by Denis Budanoff as a visual essay assignment during the first semester of his studies at the New York Film Academy.

The film tells the story of a Californian couple dying of thirst in their house in the middle of a dried lake that once was full of fresh water. This reflects the ongoing freshwater crisis in California caused by active climate change in the North American region.

The film is available to watch upon request.
